Koelker Dental is a family owned and operated dental practice in Allen, TX, led by Dr. Kris Koelker. Built with the needs of the Allen community in mind, our practice combines advanced clinical training with a hometown approach to care. Dr. Koelker grew up in Allen and is proud to be returning to serve the community he calls home. After graduating from Allen High School, he pursued higher education and advanced dental training before moving back to Allen, where he has been practicing dentistry since 2013. His deep local roots and long-standing presence in the area shape the way Koelker Dental approaches patient care – with integrity, accountability, and a genuine commitment to the community.
Dr. Koelker has been recognized by the Allen community with the CommunityVotes Platinum Award for Top Dentist in 2023, 2024, and 2025, reflecting his dedication to clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Koelker Dental is proud to continue this tradition of trusted care in a brand-new, modern practice environment.
Dr. Koelker grew up in Allen and graduated from Allen High School in 2003. He continued his education graduating Cum Laude from Texas Tech University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry with a minor in Biology. Dr. Koelker furthered his education by receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2012, graduating Cum Laude as well.
After graduation, he was accepted into an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he graduated as a top resident and received specialized skills in IV conscious sedation, implant placement, and wisdom teeth removal.
Dr. Koelker then moved back to his hometown, and has been practicing in Allen since 2013. Dr. Koelker received the 2023, 2024, and 2025 CommunityVotes Platinum Award for the top dentist in the city of Allen.
Dr. Koelker is especially known for his ability to help patients with dental anxiety through the use of true IV conscious sedation, allowing eligible patients to sleep comfortably during treatment. Outside the office, he enjoys exercising, playing softball, and spending time with his wife, Ashley, and their three children.
