Dr. Koelker grew up in Allen and is proud to be returning to serve the community he calls home. After graduating from Allen High School, he pursued higher education and advanced dental training before moving back to Allen, where he has been practicing dentistry since 2013. His deep local roots and long-standing presence in the area shape the way Koelker Dental approaches patient care – with integrity, accountability, and a genuine commitment to the community.

Dr. Kris Koelker brings a rare combination of advanced surgical expertise and comprehensive general dentistry to Koelker Dental. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry, graduating Cum Laude from Texas Tech University, before completing his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he also graduated Cum Laude.
Following dental school, Dr. Koelker was accepted into an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency, graduating as a top resident. During this program, he received specialized training in implant placement, wisdom teeth removal, and IV conscious sedation. This advanced background allows Dr. Koelker to safely perform procedures that many general dentists refer out, providing patients with continuity of care and a more comfortable treatment experience.
Dr. Koelker is especially known for his ability to help patients with dental anxiety through the use of true IV conscious sedation, allowing eligible patients to sleep comfortably during treatment. Outside the office, he enjoys exercising, playing softball, and spending time with his wife, Ashley, and their three children.
Koelker Dental is designed to function as a true one-stop dental practice. By offering both general and surgical dentistry services in-house, we are able to streamline care and reduce the stress that often comes with external referrals.
